A luxury bedmaker recently supported the British Campaign for Wool.
Held on Saturday, November 12, the all wool Vi-Spring bed, the Shetland, was paraded through London as part of the 2011 Lord Mayor’s Show.
The British Campaign for Wool aims to reposition the importance of wool in British society as a local product and is championed by his majesty the Prince of Wales.
Vi-Spring makes the perfect showcase for wool in Britain as it claims to be the only bed maker in the world which uses real Shetland wool. Making a Vi-Spring bed is a labour of love as it involves hand filling each mattress with superior British fleece wool.
As Vi-Spring occupies this proud position it is hardly surprising that the bed maker offers its support to the campaign for wool. All Vi-Spring mattresses are handmade in workshops in Devon to ensure, in the company’s own words, that each mattress fits its owner like a glove and that sleeping in a Vi-Spring bed is a ‘life-changing’ experience.
Vi-Spring was founded in 1901 as the first bed maker to produce an interior sprung mattress using a system of individually pocketed springs.
Despite having been operational for so long, Vi-Spring has never wavered from its original philosophy of using the best quality materials and craftsmanship to produce the finest beds in the world.
A new Vi-Spring bed display is coming to Haskins Furniture retailers in Shepton Mallet in December.
As a selected Vi-Spring stockist, Haskins Furniture will be incorporating a state-of-the-art Vi-Spring gallery. Stop by to try out the comfortable mattresses for yourself and see why they are fit for royalty.
