Data Entry Administrator

We are offering jobs in Somerset and are currently looking for a data entry administrator to help out in a busy and thriving office environment.

As a data entry administrator it’s your job to update and maintain information on computer systems and in archives on our bespoke software.

It’s an important role as information in these systems must be accurate, up to date and usable as all information will be displayed in store and on our e-commerce website.

The Job Role

We are currently looking for a data entry administrator to input information on a database from either a spreadsheet or printed pricing document.

The ideal candidate will need to have a good understanding of computers and able to type quickly with a keen eye for detail.

Main duties will include:

  • Data entry in a fast and accurate manner
  • Add new suppliers and products to our database
  • Operating office systems in order to process and maintain accurate records
  • Send customers purchase orders to manufacturers
  • To set up start and finish dates on promotions
  • Create display orders
  • Occasionally assist with keeping website up to date

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite including Microsoft Teams
  • Have a willingness to learn and an ability to take on responsibility
  • Computer literate
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Accurate and able to work quickly
  • Able to prioritise work load
  • Work well within a small team
  • Be punctual and reliable

Experience within a similar role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

Hours Monday – Friday, 9am – 4.30pm. For the ideal candidate we could accommodate school hours.

Holiday: 20 days plus bank holidays

All employees have their own work station spaced out, this role would be located in an office with one other employee. Face masks are required in the showrooms and vigorous cleaning is in operation. Hand sanitising stations around the work place.
