Which armchair is the most comfortable?
Comfort is personal, and what works for one person might not suit another. Generally, the most comfortable armchairs have generous padding, good lumbar support, and a seat depth that allows your feet to rest flat on the floor. Our recliner armchairs are popular for their adjustability, letting you find your perfect position, whilst high-back designs offer excellent support for your neck and shoulders. If you prefer a firmer sit, look for armchairs with pocket sprung seats. For a softer feel, foam and fibre-filled options provide a plush experience. We recommend trying armchairs in person at our showroom to find what feels right for your body and how you plan to use it.
How do I choose the right armchair?
Start by measuring your space to ensure the armchair fits comfortably without overwhelming the room. Consider who'll be using it most and for what purpose, whether that is reading, watching television, or simply relaxing. The seat height matters: taller people often prefer a slightly higher seat, whilst a lower seat can be easier for getting in and out. Think about the style too and whether it complements your existing furniture. Fabric armchairs offer warmth and texture, whilst leather brings durability and easy maintenance. If you have limited mobility, look for chairs with supportive arms and a seat height that makes standing easier. Finally, check the depth.
