How long is a 3 seater sofa?
A standard 3 seater sofa typically measures between 180cm and 220cm in length. The average is around 200cm, which comfortably seats three adults without feeling cramped. Compact 3 seaters for smaller living rooms start at about 175cm, whilst larger, more relaxed designs can extend beyond 230cm. Depth usually sits between 85cm and 100cm. These measurements don't include any overhang from the arms or feet, so always check the overall dimensions on the product specification. It's worth measuring your space with tape on the floor to visualise how the sofa will fit before you commit.
Will a 3 seater sofa fit through a door?
Most 3 seater sofas will fit through a standard UK door (around 76cm wide), but it's not guaranteed. The key is the sofa's height and depth rather than its length as you'll be angling it through on its end or side. Remove the sofa feet if possible, as this reduces the height. Measure your doorways, hallways, and any tight corners along the delivery route, and compare these to the sofa's dimensions. Many of our sofas have removable legs or backs, and some come in sections that you assemble at home.
