How do I measure for a corner sofa?

Start by measuring the two walls where the corner sofa will sit, noting any obstacles like radiators, windows, or doors. You'll need at least 30cm of clearance from walls for comfort and to avoid the sofa looking cramped. Measure the width of each section of the sofa (these are listed separately in the product specifications) and check that both arms will fit comfortably along their respective walls. Don't forget to measure the room's diagonal space. Corner sofas project into the room more than you might expect. Also measure all doorways, hallways, and staircases along the delivery route, as corner sofas often come in large sections.

Do corner sofas come in two parts?

Yes, most corner sofas are delivered in multiple sections that connect together once they're in your room. This makes them much easier to manoeuvre through doorways and up stairs. Typically, you'll receive two or three main pieces, often a left or right arm section, a corner section, and sometimes a separate armless middle section. The pieces attach using metal brackets or clips hidden beneath the seats, creating a secure join that won't shift during use. Some smaller corner sofas might arrive in just two pieces, whilst larger modular designs could have four or more sections. Assembly is usually straightforward and doesn't require special tools.
