Founded in the 1920s and still making furniture in Buckinghamshire today, the brand has built a reputation for well-made pieces that hold their own whatever the era. The living room range we stock at Haskins reflects that: sofas, armchairs, footstools, coffee tables, sideboards, TV units, bookcases, shelving, display cabinets, and more, all carrying Ercol's signature approach to solid wood furniture.
Each collection has its own distinct character. Some lean into the warm, textured look of patina oak with contrasting dark turned legs, giving a nod to mid-century style. Others take a cleaner, more understated direction with clear matt lacquer finishes that let the natural grain of the timber do the talking. If you're starting a room from scratch, choosing a single Ercol collection gives you a cohesive look across upholstery, storage, and occasional pieces. If you're adding to what you already have, the consistent quality and design language across the range means mixing pieces from different collections often works well too.
Storage is a real strength of the Ercol living room range. Sideboards come in various widths, and there are TV cabinets with practical IR-compatible doors, display cabinets with glass panels, shelving units, and universal cabinets that can be styled in different ways.
