Lighter, Simpler Divans

Hypnos offers either sprung or platform top divans in both deep and shallow configurations. Platform top divans provide a highly supportive base for a firmer feel, whilst a sprung base works in harmony with the mattress to provide a more medium feel. Divan bed bases are typically made up of two supportive bases, held securely together with a bracket.

Deep divan bed bases can provide valuable storage to suit the needs of the bedroom. The Hypnos Hideaway and Super Storage are all platform top bases and offer unique ways of making the most of all the storage space under your mattress.

A shallow base divan can also be ordered as either a sprung or platform top base, and it achieves a lighter, simple style complemented by elegant leg choices.

Sustainable Comfort with Integrity

When it comes to mattress upholstery, Hypnos only use 100% natural, sustainable and traceable materials. Different combinations create a range of sensations when you lie on the mattress. Materials like cotton, wool, kapok, aloo or peace silk, are luxurious, soft materials that we combine to produce different mattress densities, while natural Talalay latex is a high-performance, temperature-regulating material that can help keep you cool while you sleep. Also, If you suffer from allergies, mattress fillings such as wool and latex are naturally hypoallergenic and resistant to dust mites.

Mattress comfort comes from the materials it’s filled with and the springs that provide support. The more turns there are in a spring, the more responsive and supportive it will be. More springs in a mattress create a more uniform level of support. It makes sense - if there are big gaps between springs, the mattress loses consistency and can feel bumpy.

Side stitching is another important feature of a quality mattress. They hand-stitch all our mattresses with up to four rows of stitching for total edge-to-edge support. They also hand-tuft their mattresses, for lasting mattress performance and comfort. That means their skilled workers manually insert tufts of filling to create a perfectly consistent level of support.
